Mission
ARCH SC’s mission aligns with that of nonprofit ARCH Collaborative: to advance innovative, evidence‑based solutions that build community resilience against chronic disease and extreme weather. We believe that addressing chronic disease and climate‑driven disasters requires integrating public health, environmental justice and community empowerment. Our chapter will bring people together to design and disseminate practical tools and educational programs. Some examples are teaching residents how to engage in policymaking and environmental justice, distributing supplies and resources to help them adapt to extreme weather, and mentoring the next generation of leaders through the ARCH Scholars Program. We are committed to grounding our work in rigorous research by examining links between environmental exposures and health outcomes and assessing the impact of our programs. Ultimately, our mission is to create healthier, more resilient communities by fostering collaboration, innovation and inclusion.

Becoming a member of ARCH SC offers rich professional development and service opportunities. 501(c)3 non-profit, ARCH Collaborative, prides itself on fostering an inclusive culture and investing in our members’ development as future leaders in climate and health. As part of the USC student chapter of ARCH Collaborative, members will gain hands‑on experience through community engagement programs, such as workshops that teach Los Angeles residents how to advance health and environmental justice, and the Community Climate Adaptation Program, which supplies resources to help residents (particularly unhoused individuals) prepare for extreme weather. Members can also participate in the ARCH Scholars Program, where they serve as mentors and train LA residents to design evidence‑based interventions for health and the environment. Research opportunities include analyzing links between environmental exposures and health outcomes and evaluating program impacts, allowing members to contribute to cutting‑edge knowledge while building practical skills. Overall, membership offers networking with dedicated professionals, leadership experience, and the chance to make a tangible difference in community resilience.

This society will promote social justice disability rights lawyering, and the empowerment of individuals with disabilities.

Hike for Habitats is driven to transforming outdoor exploration into a powerful commitment to environmental stewardship. Guided by Aldo Leopold’s land ethic, we foster a deeper connection between people and the natural world through hiking and hands-on habitat restoration.

Mission
The Human Right Student Interest Group works with the Keck Human Rights Clinic to provide forensic evaluation and documentation to any immigrant or displaced individual residing in the United States who requires documentation of maltreatment in order for justice to be carried out.

Our mission is 3-fold:
1. Justice: Members of the Human Rights Student Interest Group advocate on behalf of asylum seekers by providing pro bono forensic medical and psychological evaluations to corroborate claims of maltreatment.
2. Education: Medical students are given the opportunity to assist with forensic evaluations and report drafting, allowing students to gain experience as advocates for health and human rights. Medical students also learn about global issues and cultural competence through assisting with these examinations.
3. Training: The USC Human Rights Student Interest Group hosts nationwide training sessions for physicians to gain the skills necessary to perform forensic evaluations and register under PHR's umbrella of providers.

The mission of this organization is to provide support, education, advocacy and community for all USC students emphasizing those from the PA program identifying as Latine.

To create and provide a safe space for Latine students and non-students to support, encourage and mentor each other through PA school and beyond. We will work to build a network of individuals that make each other feel included, heard, and supported in spaces that might feel unfamiliar.

Our Collegiate Council of LULAC is dedicated to advancing the educational attainment, political influence, and the civil rights of Latinos through impactful community service projects. The League of United Latin American Citizens is the oldest Latino civil rights organization in the United States, and our Council seeks to carry on their legacy by mobilizing and serving our local community. Our primary goal is to address educational disparities and provide resources to public schools and nonprofits that allow students to strive academically. In addition, we aim to promote civic engagement by spreading awareness about issues facing Latinos, increasing voter registration, and hearing paths to success from empowering Latino speakers. We aim to provide USC students with access to career advancement opportunities, provided by LULAC National such as invitations to National LULAC conferences and the ability to apply for internships and scholarships.

LULAC at USC will provide career advancement opportunities. (1) National Conferences: Members will be given invitations to Emerge DC, the Annual LULAC National Conventions, and local conferences and events. (2) Scholarship Opportunities: LULAC offers scholarships for higher education and stipends to attend conferences. (3) Networking: Members will listen to and connect with successful Latino leaders, politicians, and policy makers. In addition, members will have access to career development sessions, and opportunities for LULAC National internships.
