Kendo (剣道, "way of the sword") is a traditional Japanese martial art, which descended from swordsmanship (kenjutsu) and uses bamboo swords (shinai) and protective armor (bogu). Kendo is an activity that combines martial arts practices and values with elements of sport.
All undergraduate and graduate students can participate in practices, regardless of how much experience they have in the sport! We have low membership fees and travel to other colleges around the US for joint-practices and tournaments.
