Ludus Remedium is USC’s first freeform, activism-focused comedy troupe that includes everything from improv to sketch to sock puppets to supporting student mental health campus-wide! Wait, what was that last one? For those of you who took Latin in High School and nabbed those extra points on the SAT, you might notice that Ludus means “play” or “prank” and remedium roughly translates to “cure” or “remedy.” Our mission statement is: To cure the USC community of anxiety, intolerance, injustice (and maybe indigestion) through comedy. Completing this statement could be as simple as making a stressed out student laugh at one of our weekly shows or as complex as increasing visibility on a marginalized issue through our monthly comedy through social justice activities (we make no promises on the matter of indigestion). We aim to build confidence and bust bigotry through healthy, humorous releases. Ludus has built an impressive array of specific games, events, and traditions to make that happen.

We want to help our club and community members to grow into global leaders by improving their organizational and leadership skills and by attaining self awareness and cultural awareness by participating in a series of club meetings, seminars, conferences, and lectures. We have already organized two cultural exchange seminars involving 200 students from 15 different countries, and we have dozens of representatives and branches from different high schools and colleges in America and China. The USC chapter will be the headquarters of The Bridge Academy.
As USC is the HQ of the Bridge Academy, the Bridgers of the Trojan Chapter will receive the most resources from the club. The growth and well being of our members are our priorities. During our routine meetings, we will offer Bridgers examples of cultural inclusion by sharing experiences and engaging in team building activities with members from different cultures. (And, of course, snacks and dessert will be served!) Also, we will invite well-known speakers in the area of personal growth and various professional fields to talk with our members exclusively, so that their expertise can enlighten our members and foster self-awareness, self, a healthy career path, and goals.
Secondly, the USC chapter will also be able to help Bridgers improve their professional skills. Members will have the chance to undertake tasks, such as public relations, communication, graphic design, event organizing, and consulting, to enhance their experiences by serving on different Committees of the Chapter
Besides these social impacts and professional missions, The Bridge Academy at USC prioritizes the social engagement of our members. We view our group as a family and will frequently plan dinners, day trips, retreats, and a myriad of other social events!
Ultimately, for being one of the pioneering chapters pursuing a new but worthy goal, it is inevitable that the USC chapter may face many uncertainties and challenges. However, with greater uncertainty, comes greater opportunities and awards. Together, we can change the status quo and offer students a true sense of culture inclusion around campuses worldwide and create cultural stereotype-free zones for all communities

The Mustard Seed Project is an innovative volunteer-based service for individuals experiencing homelessness; our mission is to provide low barrier access to basic needs and services for displaced communities around the USC campus & greater LA area. We foster a person-centered approach to homelessness services, and apply best practice and data driven techniques to homeless outreach. We hope to develop young leaders in professionalism, political competency, and ethics while educating the public, and the USC student body, about homelessness in their respective communities.
The Mustard Seed Project, which is affiliated with the International Mustard Seed Project Organization, follows a mission guided by a “hand up, not hand out” philosophy, to connect unsheltered individuals to services and programs through community organization, relationship-based outreach, and volunteer case management.
We hope to direct outreach and volunteer projects across Los Angeles to distribute basic supplies such as food and water to displaced populations; we will also work with our Chapter Advisors and the Directors of MSP to disseminate housing, pro-bono consulting, and work opportunities to displaced populations.

USC Mustard Seed Project defines membership on three different levels; Open Membership, General/Voting Membership, and Executive Membership.
Open membership is not restricted by dues, interviews, or application process – this entails that all members of the USC student body are free to join MSP as an Open Member without being bound by any restrictions. Open Members are able to attend all General Member meetings, and learn about homelessness in the Greater Los Angeles area. They will also be able to assist in the planning of volunteer events, and partake in two volunteer events per semester. Open Members will be able to learn about the legal, health, and economic implications of displacement in their community, enabling them to educate the rest of the USC student body about the mission of The Mustard Seed Project.
General/Voting Members must pay dues of $30.00USD/semester in order to be eligible to vote on matters concerning MSPSC, and have a larger stake in the planning and execution of events. On top of sharing the benefits of Open Membership, these members will also be able to attend more than two volunteer events a semester, and reap the benefits of hands-on and in-field relief with displaced communities in the GTLA area.
Executive Membership is limited to the Officers of the Mustard Seed Project; these positions are outlined in the organization's Constitution, and require a formal application and interview process. The details regarding this process can be found in the MSPSC Constitution. These members must still pay the $30.00USD/semester dues required for General Membership, but have the largest stake in planning and executing events. These members are required to attend all General Member meetings, as well as Executive Board meetings, and are responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of the organization.

This is the USC Student Chapter of the The Pad Project Ambassador Program, which is designed to unite a community of passionate individuals who are ready to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and turn their passion for equity into action. The Ambassador Program fosters a way for new and life-long menstrual equity advocates to come together to learn about period poverty, develop leadership skills, and form new friendships. Over the last year, ambassadors have run educational panels with our NGO partners, conducted product drives for local shelters, advocated for period-positive policies before state legislatures, hosted documentary film screenings in their communities, and created works of art to honor the menstrual equity movement.

Trojan Health Interpretation Services' primary mission is to fulfill a demand for interpreters for the Limited English Proficient population in order to guarantee medical services for all. We will provide free health interpretation and translation services for people in and around the USC area. Another primary mission is to train bilingual students to become ad hoc interpreters through extensive medical vocabulary training and practice situations. We seek to provide our services to grassroots organizations that are working with limited resources; usually, these organizations provide free services and don├óÔé¼Ôäót have the funds or the organizational structure to have a full-time interpreter. Ultimately, Trojan Health Interpretation Services actively works to provide free ad hoc interpretation services to the vast Limited English Proficient population in Los Angeles.

The overall mission of United in Action (UIA) is to be a special olympics volunteering club. This means our club will strive to take action in volunteering to help and support local special olympics, whether that means volunteering at a community level such as local high schools and middle schools or at a larger organizational level with Southern California Special Olympics. On a much broader scale though, are goal will be to spread awareness for people who have special needs, and trying to improve how we treat individuals who are intellectually and physically disabled on the societal scale. Whether it be advocating the end of the R-word, helping to raise the standard of equality in sports for people with special needs, as well as raising funds for special olympics programs that are neglected in Southern California.
