WiE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

We invite you to become a mentor or mentee with the Women in Engineering (WIE) MENTORSHIP Program! Applications for the Fall 2024 semester are open!

Mentor/mentee matches will be revealed at our upcoming event on Tuesday, September 17 at 6PM in MCB 101, make sure to add it to your calendar!

The WiE MENTOR program aims to help undergraduate and master's women and non-binary students by pairing them with senior students. The program aims to provide students with a source of support and guidance while helping to build community among all Viterbi women and non-binary students. WiE mentors will insp​ire students and help increase the retention of womxn in engineering.

Being a Mentor – Commitments

Contact mentee(s) at least once a month – this can be an email, telephone call, text, coffee, or dinner

Attend WIE MENTOR mentor orientation

Attend WIE MENTOR Reveal and Reception on September 17th

Attend at least 1 one WIE mentorship event with your mentee per semester

Enthusiasm and willingness to answer questions from first year students about classes, engineering majors, student organizations, research, internships, etc.
