The Period Project was started by VGSA in 2021 with the mission to end the stigma and improve the equity of menstruation at USC. Through free product distribution, educational seminars, and social events, we are expanding the understanding of menstruation for all at USC.
VGSA is currently partnering with Viterbi and USC to provide free menstrual products across Viterbi. VGSA is working to expand access to free menstrual products around campus by partnering with USC Graduate Student Government (GSG) and USC Undergraduate Student Government (USG). The Menstrual Equity Act of 2021 mandates free menstrual products at all public schools (read more here). However, as a private institution, USC continues not to provide these basic hygiene items. Help us end period poverty at USC by telling us where menstrual products are needed at USC!
