The purpose of this RSO is to raise money and awareness for underprivileged students in Bali, Indonesia. We aim to fundraise and donate 100 percent of our funds to a group of small schools in Bali where students will receive a free education in English, life skills, as well as computer skills. We will raise money to support this program as well as provide new classrooms and needed materials such as computers, desks, or school supplies. This program also hopes to travel to Bali annually to bring supplies and volunteer teaching English in the schools.

Descent is the University of Southern California’s premier APISA (Asian Pacific Islander and South Asian) literary and arts publication. We elevate APISA voices through our semesterly magazine and co-develop a platform to showcase the diversity of artwork, stories and talents of APISA creators at USC.

Our team is primarily comprised of visual designers, creative writers, writing editors, multimedia creators, and digital marketers. All experience levels are welcome to apply!

1. All members will gain a comprehensive understanding of producing and publishing a magazine in both print and digital forms. By the end of each semester, members will have 1-2 new portfolio pieces to showcase.
2. We also train new members in their respective teams. By the end of the semester, you will understand how to use industry-standard software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud. Descent is a judgment-free zone and we welcome creatives of all experience levels.
3. In addition to our primary goal (publishing a magazine), Descent plans regular outings and events around Los Angeles for its members to grow closer to each other.

Flavors is a cultural club with the initiative to experience different cultures through taste, cuisine and conversation. Food is a key way of understanding a culture and an even better way to create meaningful relationships. We want to quite literally 'break bread' with our peers and engage with our student body through a shared enthusiasm and curiosity of our respective cuisine and cultures. Trying different or new foods can be a whole adventure, it can be daunting yet very exciting. We want to encourage people to open their minds to trying new things because after all you never know what you'll really like until you try it. As a fan of all cuisine myself, I want to put many foods that people aren't aware of on the map and provide an open and engaging atmosphere to understand different cuisines and cultures. In addition, we especially want to create a socially stimulating environment. We want people to build relationships, after all there's also nothing better than good food with good company. Many people love food, we can't live without it and since coming back from the pandemic I believe many people are looking for community and social interaction as well. This is my second semester on campus and I would have loved to have a club like this starting school. It can be an intimidating and lonely experience when you transfer in just by yourself without knowing anybody. There are many others who feel the same way and I want to create an environment where people can come alone and leave having made a friend. Our main initiative is to spark conversation, in a world that nowadays is so divided and defined by labels, we wanted to create an open atmosphere where people can transcend cultural barriers and truly get to know one another. Liberty in North Korea at USC is a university chapter of the international NGO Liberty in North Korea. Our purpose is to advocate for and spread awareness of the issues pertaining to North Korean refugees, the Korean peninsula, and human rights. We have a responsibility to support and assist LiNK HQ by engaging in educational activities and fundraising.

LiNK USC hopes to support refugee populations by shifting the focus of our activism to the real history, politics, and conflicts that have led to North Korea’s present-day situation through an unfiltered and critical perspective.

LiNK USC strives to cooperate with other on- and off-campus organizations to foster mutual solidarity and raise awareness of the interconnectedness of North Korean refugees’ issues with those of other groups.

The mission of the student organization Love & Time is to support the nonprofit’s dedication to providing mental health therapy, support, and resources in a timely manner to individuals who are essential to our society’s well-being, including but not limited to maternal mental health, law enforcement and disenfranchised children and their families.Therapy can be very expensive for those without health insurance and it can take months for insurance companies to provide help. Access to a professional between a 72-96-hour period for members in our community experiencing mental challenges is essential to providing them with the tools to treat themselves and others with compassion.
It is scientifically proven that newborns who are stimulated through their parents’ touch, voice, heartbeat, and attention are significantly more likely to thrive as adults compared to children who lack these stimuli. These connections and associations at birth have long-lasting effects that carry on through our adult lives and impact how we self-regulate through stressful experiences, how humans love and connect with others, and build self-esteem. Targeting mental health support for postpartum mothers and families is our ticket to having a positive impact on child development and improving home environments.
We decided to call it Love & Time because those are the most important four letter words in one’s life. Time to grow old through reflection and experience joy, and love to build relationships, friendships, and connection with family.

Ludus Remedium is USC’s first freeform, activism-focused comedy troupe that includes everything from improv to sketch to sock puppets to supporting student mental health campus-wide! Wait, what was that last one? For those of you who took Latin in High School and nabbed those extra points on the SAT, you might notice that Ludus means “play” or “prank” and remedium roughly translates to “cure” or “remedy.” Our mission statement is: To cure the USC community of anxiety, intolerance, injustice (and maybe indigestion) through comedy. Completing this statement could be as simple as making a stressed out student laugh at one of our weekly shows or as complex as increasing visibility on a marginalized issue through our monthly comedy through social justice activities (we make no promises on the matter of indigestion). We aim to build confidence and bust bigotry through healthy, humorous releases. Ludus has built an impressive array of specific games, events, and traditions to make that happen.

RSVP provides an advocate team for 24/7 response in situations of gender- and power-based harm (including sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking).
