Mission
Trojan Health Interpretation Services' primary mission is to fulfill a demand for interpreters for the Limited English Proficient population in order to guarantee medical services for all. We will provide free health interpretation and translation services for people in and around the USC area. Another primary mission is to train bilingual students to become ad hoc interpreters through extensive medical vocabulary training and practice situations. We seek to provide our services to grassroots organizations that are working with limited resources; usually, these organizations provide free services and don├óÔé¼Ôäót have the funds or the organizational structure to have a full-time interpreter. Ultimately, Trojan Health Interpretation Services actively works to provide free ad hoc interpretation services to the vast Limited English Proficient population in Los Angeles.

Membership Benefits
There are many membership benefits from joining Trojan Health Interpretation Services (THIS). First off, THIS members will learn important medical skills and terminology in the target language which they will then be able to utilize in the future. Not only that, but they will become equipped with the tools and skills to interpret because of their interpreter etiquette training. If a member decides to pursue a career path in medicine, these two skills combined could help them become a better health professional and allow them to aid as many people as possible. Furthermore, members will be able to get an inside look at what happens in interactions between patients and physicians while simultaneously positively impacting the local Limited English Proficient community.
