Forget-me-not: An open mic & art show

Forget-me-not: A flower that, while associated with true-love, has also been used as a symbol of remembrance and a tribute to those who have left their homelands in search of a better future.

In honor of Women’s History Month, FG+SC and Gender Equity Programs invite you to Forget-Me-Not, an open-mic and art show centered evening, highlighting artistic expression, community celebration, and empowerment happening March 27th from 5-7:30pm. This event is designed to amplify the voices and talents of USC students while honoring the resilience and strength of those who have journeyed in search of a better future.

This is a space for us to give and receive energy, to uplift each other through creative expression, and to celebrate our shared experiences and histories.

CALL FOR ARTISTS AND OPEN MIC SIGN UPS:
We are looking for local artists in the USC community who foster the spirit of inclusivity and activism through their art to participate in this year's Forget Me Not Event. If interested, please fill out this form no later than February 27th, 2025 at 5pm:

ART SUBMISSIONS: If you would like your art to be showcased in the First Generation Plus Student Center the evening of the event (March 27th from 5-7:30pm) please submit a link or upload a file of your piece in this form. PIN DESIGN SUBMISSION: We are looking for submissions of an enamel pin design to be printed/developed and distributed for the event! Only one design will be selected. Note: All open mic slots will be 2-3 minutes long, and can range from spoken word, to song, and more!
