At the Coliseum in 1964, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered a passionate and persuasive address to 15,000 Angelenos, focusing on issues of race relations and human dignity.

In 2025, L.A. Works will continue its longstanding tradition of honoring Dr. King's legacy by hosting the MLK 2025 Volunteer Festival: Take Action to Support Our Beloved Community.

This event invites participants to move closer to Dr. King's vision of a Beloved Community through hands-on activity zones addressing health equity, food insecurity, STEAM education, and more. Attendees can enjoy live performances, support minority-owned businesses, and actively contribute to honoring Dr. King's enduring legacy.
