About Us

Graduate Association of Music Students (GAMS) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive community by creating meaningful performance opportunities that celebrate our diverse student body. Its mission has four primary components: 1. GAMS provides weekly free concerts featuring USC Thornton students that provide cultural stimulation for the USC community. 2. GAMS further benefits USC Thornton students by providing performance opportunities which would otherwise not exist, particularly across departmental and divisional boundaries. 3. GAMS also invites distinguished musicians and artists from around the world to share their knowledge with the USC musical community. 4. As well, GAMS supports student well-being by hosting guest lectures and wellness sessions in partnership with the Musicians' Health and Wellness Committee, ensuring a holistic, nurturing environment for all members. We aim to enrich the musical culture of USC through this programming, while empowering students to connect, collaborate, and grow professionally.
