Our Collegiate Council of LULAC is dedicated to advancing the educational attainment, political influence, and the civil rights of Latinos through impactful community service projects. The League of United Latin American Citizens is the oldest Latino civil rights organization in the United States, and our Council seeks to carry on their legacy by mobilizing and serving our local community. Our primary goal is to address educational disparities and provide resources to public schools and nonprofits that allow students to strive academically. In addition, we aim to promote civic engagement by spreading awareness about issues facing Latinos, increasing voter registration, and hearing paths to success from empowering Latino speakers. We aim to provide USC students with access to career advancement opportunities, provided by LULAC National such as invitations to National LULAC conferences and the ability to apply for internships and scholarships.

Liberty in North Korea at USC is a university chapter of the international NGO Liberty in North Korea. Our purpose is to advocate for and spread awareness of the issues pertaining to North Korean refugees, the Korean peninsula, and human rights. We have a responsibility to support and assist LiNK HQ by engaging in educational activities and fundraising.

LiNK USC hopes to support refugee populations by shifting the focus of our activism to the real history, politics, and conflicts that have led to North Korea’s present-day situation through an unfiltered and critical perspective.

LiNK USC strives to cooperate with other on- and off-campus organizations to foster mutual solidarity and raise awareness of the interconnectedness of North Korean refugees’ issues with those of other groups.

It all started when a group of like-minded students felt the need for a community where the world's most pressing issues could be discussed, debated, and (theoretically) resolved. Model United Nations of Southern California was formed in 2008 to meet this need. Since then, MUNSC has grown to be an organization involving nearly 100 students from a wide variety of backgrounds and one that is ranked #15 in the nation. Our team travels all around North America to compete in conferences with other universities, as well as hosts two of our own conferences: the prestigious SCMUN for middle and high school students, and our intercollegiate TrojanMUN, ranked the top Fall conference on the West Coast by Best Delegate. Model UN not only gives newfound knowledge on global affairs, but it improves critical thinking, writing, communication, public speaking, and diplomacy skills. Aside from traveling to conferences, MUNSC members are instantly welcomed into the family with events like bonding retreats, mixers, and social events. MUNSC is filled with some of the most innovative, intelligent, and passionate students you'll ever meet - it's a choice you will never regret.

This is the USC Chapter of the The Pad Project Ambassador Program, which is designed to unite a community of passionate individuals who are ready to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and turn their passion for equity into action. The Ambassador Program fosters a way for new and life-long menstrual equity advocates to come together to learn about period poverty, develop leadership skills, and form new friendships. Over the last year, ambassadors have run educational panels with our NGO partners, conducted product drives for local shelters, advocated for period-positive policies before state legislatures, hosted documentary film screenings in their communities, and created works of art to honor the menstrual equity movement.

The mission of the Trojan Review is to promote and incentivize a greater awareness of the complexities posed by pertinent legal issues, as well as help develop the next generation of lawyers by providing a foundation for legal writing and research. The USC U.S.-China Institute informs public discussion of the evolving and multidimensional U.S.-China relationship through policy-relevant research, graduate and undergraduate training, and professional development programs for teachers, journalists, and officials. It produces compelling public events, widely-viewed documentary films, and the popular magazine US-China Today. USCI was established in 2006 as a university initiative. Its creation was first announced in Beijing during a Board of Trustees trip to China. (Click here for the Oct. 2006 announcement.) In fall 2011, USCI became part of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, whose programs include those on public diplomacy, new Chinese media, economics reporting and health journalism.

The UNCHAINED SCHOLARS are a group of formerly incarcerated MSW, DSW, and Ph.D. students working with ally members to dismantle the barriers faced by people impacted by the criminal punishment system. Upholding the values and principles of the profession of social work, the Unchained Scholars challenge beliefs, policies, and systems that marginalize, stigmatize, and dehumanize individuals with criminal records contributing to a cycle of economic and racialized oppression. Through advocacy and diverse community building, the Unchained Scholars live the change they want to see.
