The INFORMS Chapter @ USC and USC Viterbi Graduate Student Association are inviting USC students to share completed work (Flash Talks) in Operations Research/Management, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Computer Science/ML for OR, Mathematics, and related areas. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, with students engaged in research from across the Viterbi community. 15 students will be selected to give a 5-minute flash talk on research, in which they were a primary author. The event will take place from 11am - 3pm on January 22nd,2026 at The TCC Rosen Family Screening Theatre @ USC. This program is open to current USC students (BS/MS/PhD) from any USC school/department. Attendance and registration are free.

We are looking for USC faculty to judge the event! This would require a 3-hour commitment from 11am - 2pm on January 22nd, 2026. All judges will receive a complimentary lunch. A rubric will be provided to all judges to rank the talks based on clarity of problem framing, methodological rigor, originality, and demonstrated or potential impact.

Submission Deadline: 1/2/26
