At the Society of Public Diplomats, we are a student-led organization who aim to further develop the field of public diplomacy through research, events and community building. The organization is a resource of public diplomacy knowledge for students who are interested in exploring careers in international relations, diplomacy, cross-cultural communication, and global affairs.
As a member of the Society of Public Diplomats, you will gain access to exclusive professional development opportunities, including networking events with diplomats, practitioners, and faculty leaders in public diplomacy. You can participate in academic and cultural activities such as conferences, speaker series, and student-led forums on global affairs. Membership also offers opportunities to develop leadership skills by serving on SPD’s Executive Board or leading your own projects. Beyond professional growth, SPD provides a strong sense of community and collaboration within the MPD program, helping students from diverse backgrounds build friendships and support networks. Finally, members are connected to a global alumni community of hundreds MPD graduates from over 30 countries, offering mentorship, career insights, and long-term professional relationships.
