MISC’s mission is to make the music world accessible to everyone at USC, regardless of major or background. We help students explore and enter the industry by offering hands-on production workshops, software training, and educational sessions on how the music business really works. Through industry expos, guest speakers, collaborative open decks, student-run shows, etc., MISC creates a direct pipeline from campus creativity to real-world opportunities.
- Learn music production, mixing, mastering, songwriting, and DJ fundamentals through hands-on sessions. - Talks from producers, engineers, artists, and other music-industry professionals. - Meet and work with students across USC who create, perform, produce, and manage music. - Opportunities to DJ, perform, or present your work at MISC-hosted events. - Guidance on available equipment, labs, recording spaces, and relevant classes. - A welcoming space to experiment with ideas, share works-in-progress, and receive feedback.
