The purpose of this organization is to explore and promote academic and career issues related to the field of practice-based arts research, and to help those interested in the field to get to know one another better outside the classroom and laboratory.

Members of the Interdivisional Media Arts and Practice Engagement and Research (iMAPPER) benefit from connecting with their peers within and outside of the School of Cinematic Arts to make and share creative and research-based media art practices.
