Website Mission Membership Benefits
Mission The purpose of this organization is to explore and promote academic and career issues related to the field of American Studies and Ethnicity, and to help those interested in the field get to know one another better outside the classroom. The ASE Club will focus on bringing a sense of community to the ASE department by: a) a semester-long focus project that includes elements of service, analysis, and a final presentation; b) planning events for undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty; c) providing opportunities for undergraduates to become more involved in our surrounding community and organizations; e) contacting ASE graduates and chart their progress to potentially invite them back to events as speakers and/or social events/roundtables; f) and finally facilitating close-knit relationships with the faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates.
